Democracy and science are both based on the simple rule that nothing can be imposed by authority but must be proven, argued, discussed, approved by a large majority.
Good ideas may not be accepted, the large majority may be bad, ignorant, superstitious, manipulated, lazy and whatever, nevertheless concepts, memes must replicate only being shared by this majority.
